Teen suicide

The tragedy of a young person dying because of overwhelming hopelessness or frustration is devastating to family and friends. Parents and friends might be left wondering if they could have done something to prevent that young person from turning to suicide, But most times they are to far gone for them to help.  Kyla Frajman, 21, said suicide was no stranger to her. “I thought about it a lot, but always fought my way through it,” said Frajman, a member of the Cowichan First Nation in British Columbia. “I don’t do it myself,” she said of suicide, “because I don’t want the younger kids to think it’s allowed.”

Teenagers experience strong feelings of stress, confusion, self-doubt, pressure to succeed, and many morefears while growing up. For some teenagers, divorce, the formation of a new family with step-parents and step-siblings, or moving to a new community can be very unsettling and can intensify self-doubts. For some teens, suicide may appear to be a solution to their problems and stress. Depression and suicidal feelings are treatable mental disorders. The child or adolescent needs to have his or her illness recognized and diagnosed, and appropriate treatment plans developed. When parents are in doubt whether their child has a serious problem, a psychiatric examination can be very helpful.

Overall i am really noticing that it is the parents jobs to stop them, But most times the parents could not care less. So this really makes a large problem because the group of people who should be helping are not doing anything. This creates a large problem which could lead to more incidents
